 Welcome to the website of First
Congregational Church of Charles City. FCCofCC has a notable history
and a bright future. As we serve God and the community together, we
discover our purpose for life. Whether it is worship, fellowship,
growing in your faith, mission and outreach, or ministry, our focus is
always on Jesus Christ our Lord. We dig into the Bible and live out its
principles, through the guidance and in the power of the Holy Spirit.
As a local expression of Christ's Body--where every member is a
minister--may we move forward to the glory of God the Father and the
furtherance of His Kingdom.
You will receive a warm welcome at First Congregational. You find a
place and people who want to join with you in growing in faith and
using the gifts God has given you for service. FCC is a congregation
where you can make a difference. There is a place waiting for you at
the First Congregational Church of Charles City.

Prayer
for the Week
Heavenly Father, we thank You
that it
was Your good pleasure to predestine us to be adopted as Your sons and
daughters through Jesus Christ. Help us
to see that You have already “seated us in the heavenly realms” with
Christ. We are so grateful that You have
saved us by grace through faith alone, so that no one would boast. Help us to walk in those works which You have
prepared in advance for us to walk in.
With the help of Your Holy Spirit, help us to submit
to one another out
of reverence for Christ. Assist us, we
pray, in putting on the whole armor of God.
And having done all that You have called us to do,
help us to stand—in
Spirit-guided prayer and against the devil.
We pray these in the Name of our glorious Lord Jesus
Christ, Amen.
